Blue Man Group was the brain child of three New York friends, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton. The trio began performing the first version of Blue Man Group on the streets of New York City in the mid 1980's. The Theatrical Stage productions of Blue Man Group have evolved into an exciting and entertaining mix of sights and sounds. The show incorporates music, odd props, audience participation as well as the emission of various substances from the stage, including paint, food, and water.
The overall success of Blue Man Group has led to long engagements of the show in various cities. Blue Man Group has been playing New York since 1991 and in Boston since 1995. Blue Man Group has also been featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on 16 different occasions. Blue Man Group also appeared in commercials for Intel's Pentium III Processor.
