Rolling Stone Magazine interviewed U2 frontman Bono about the continuation of their widely popular ‘360 Tour,’ along with future plans for the group in 2010. “We’ve been playing really well on the tour and getting better and better, and we need to distill whatever we have into some songs,” said Bono. “I would like to put out an album quickly, but we’re only going to do it if it’s great.”

The New York Times, The Observer, and Canada Sun Media have all reported U2’s plans to release an album sometime next year. Bono confirmed to Rolling Stone that the album will be titled “Songs of Ascent.” Look for more U2 updates here on the AceTicket Blog! The band is set to appear at New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on July 19th.
