Brandon Bass Nets 27, Celts Win Game 5

Brandon Bass scored 27 points on 9-for-13 shooting, outscoring the Philadelphia 76ers himself in the third quarter to lead the Boston Celtics to win 101-85 and take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The six-year veteran stepped up at a crucial time as the team recognized Game 5 as a must-win situation. (more)

Celtics Regain Momentum, Handle Sixers 107-91

Kevin Garnett netted 12-of-17 from the floor for 27 points while collecting 13 rebounds during Boston’s 107-91 Game 3 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers last night at Wells Fargo Center. After a disappointing Game 2 loss at TD Garden Monday night, the Celtics were able to regroup and take back home court advantage in convincing fashion. (more)

Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias Reveal International Tour Dates

Pop superstar Jennifer Lopez has announced her official summer tour plans, set to hit the road for 20+ shows alongside Enrique Iglesias. The artists will be performing seperately for the most part, but Lopez revealed to USA Today that she and Iglesias are working on “some special things for the fans,” including a new song for the tour. Pierce Dominates Game 2, Celtics Gain Home Court Advantage

Paul Pierce was on the court for 44 minutes and racked up 36 points and 14 rebounds during Boston’s 87-80 Game 2 victory over the Atlanta Hawks last night at Philips Arena. The Celtics captain lifted his team when they needed him most with Rajon Rondo suspended and Ray Allen sidelined with an ankle injury. (more)

Bruins Top Capitals 4-3, Push Series to Game 7

The Bruins and Capitals will play Game 7. Last year in their Stanley Cup Championship run, the Bruins played seven games in all but one of their playoff series. Paul Pierce ignited his Celtics with 29 points, 14 assists and five rebounds during Boston’s 102-98 victory over the Orlando Magic yesterday at TD Garden. The Celtics captain was the best player on the floor from start to finish just one night after dropping 43 points on the New York Knicks. (more)

Chris Kelly Lifts Bruins Past Caps in OT

Thanks to goalie Tim Thomas and center Chris Kelley, The Boston Bruins won Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs in dramatic fashion. The game remained scoreless until overtime when Kelley’s slapshot slipped through Washington Capital’s goalie Braden Holtby. (more)

Celtics Handle Heat, Return Home to Play Hawks

Paul Pierce netted 27 points and Kevin Garnett added 24 points and nine rebounds to lead their Boston Celtics past the Miami Heat 115-107 last night at American Airlines Arena. Rajon Rondo posted double-digit assists for the 18th straight game and the Celtics are looking better than ever with just nine games left on the regular season schedule. (more)
