Taylor Swift Announces RED Tour

Country music sensation Taylor Swift announced this past week that her 2013 RED Tour will kick off on March 13 in Omaha, Nebraska. With an already scheduled 58 shows for 45 cities in 29 states, we expect more will follow. (more)

Beyonce, Swift Win Multiple Grammys

R&B singer Beyonce experienced a record setting night at the 52nd annual Grammys in Los Angeles, claiming a total of six awards. The longtime performer is currently touring in Brazil and Argentina before taking an expected hiatus for the remainder of 2010. Taylor Swift left the building with four Grammys, most notably for “Album of the Year” and “Best Country Album.” America’s newest country sensation performed her smash hit “You Belong With Me” with Stevie Nicks, calling it a “fairy tale come true.” Gillette Stadium is ready to play host to Swift on Saturday, June 5th. Bon Jovi showcased songs from their latest project along with the timeless  single “Livin’ on a Prayer” in their first ever Grammy performance. The band will also be featured at the home of the New England Patriots on Saturday, July 24th as part of their 2010 summer tour. Lady Gaga won “Best Dance Recording” and “Best Electronic/Dance Album” with her chart topping debut album “The Fame.” Kings of Leon and Black Eyed Peas were most recognized in regards to group performance and recording. Fergie, will.i.am and crew are scheduled to headline the TD Garden in Boston, MA on Friday, February 26th. Notable male Awards included Jay-Z for “Best Rap Solo Performance” and Jason Mraz for “Best Male Vocal Performance.”

New pop sensation Justin Bieber is set to headline a handful of shows across the U.S. to start up his 2010 campaign. He will be performing at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA Sunday, February 14th before hitting up the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY on the 20th. (more)

Country sensation Taylor Swift is scheduled to perform at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA on Sunday, June 6th. The rising star has tour dates set for major venues all over the country, including the Jingle Ball show at the Madison Square Garden Friday, December 11th. Last night at the CMA’s she took home four of the most prestigious awards including Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Music Video of the Year. “Love Story,” her biggest #1 hit came from her 2008 “Fearless” album. Swift first gained popularity with her debut self-titled album in 2006. The record featured singles “Teardrops on My Guitar,” “Tim McGraw,” and “Picture to Burn.” Exceeding all expectations it went on to reach the #1 spot on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums and Canadian Country Albums Charts. Her “Fearless” album reached even new heights, selling 592,304 copies in its first week in stores. Coldplay & Lil Wayne Get 15 Grammy Nominations

Some nominations for the 59th Grammy Awards on February 9, 2009 were announced last night as part of a TV Concert Special to celebrate the Grammys.  Topping the list of nominees are Coldplay who got 7 nods and rapper Lil’ Wayne who received 8 nominations.  Last night’s celebration included performances by the Foo Fighters, Mariah Carey and Taylor Swift. Also receiving multiple nominations were Robert Plant, Radiohead and John Mayer.  Stay tuned for more nominations as they are announced.
