St. Louis Blues 2008 Mid-Season Report

Posted by Ace Staff on January 20th, 2008

Recap – Goals are important in winning NHL hockey games, and unfortunately for the St. Louis Blues they have scored only 120 goals, the lowest total in the league. Fortunately, they have one of the leagues best defenses and do not allow many goals either. Manny Legacy has seen the majority of the time in net for the Blues and brings 9 years of experience to the table every night. Everyone recognizes the name Paul Kariya as the team superstar, but it’s Brad Boyes who is making a lot of noise for the struggling offense scoring 27 goals thus far in the season. He can’t do it all by himself and needs some help from second line teammates to pick up the slack. 2nd Half – If the Blues were in the Eastern Conference they would be a playoff contender this season, but the Western Conference is much more powerful this year, especially in the Central Division. The Blues will have to play the role of spoiler this year because due to their lack of offense, they won’t be seeing the post-season. Team Name: St. Louis Blues (22-18-6) Central Division Standing: T-4th place Conference Standing: T-12th place Final Predictions – 4th in Central Division, 12th in Western Conference
