With the end of the summer concert schedule coming to a close, Mansfield’s Comcast Center is by no means slowing down its big name lineup. Beginning next week, the Comcast Center will host the Jonas Brothers for a two night extravaganza featuring their Camp Rock co-star Demi Lovato for the first night, August 25th. The Jonas Brothers have broken out of the boy-band brand by proving themselves to be a close-knit threesome of song-writing brothers that emulates a modern day Beatle-mania (with shrieking tweens and all) while conquering the television world with a hit fictional sitcom “JONAS” and the summer spinoff of High School Musical, Camp Rock. Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas have even made names for themselves individually, one getting married and one branching out to form his own rock band. Paul McCartney himself even recently invited the Jonas Brothers to cover a Beatles song at the White House, performing “Drive My Car”. Their headlining tour will be a sign of everything the Jonas Brothers have accomplished in the five-year span of their career while reflecting on the limitless future that lies ahead of them.
One of the most sought after live bands in the country, the Rascal Flatts are among the largest grossing touring groups in the music industry- well known for their live shows that been known to weave special effects, video and pyrotechnic into their ever-changing set lists. Over the course of their ten-year career, the Rascal Flatts have taken country music and made it their own, creating a more accessible image and sound to the genre we so fondly refer to as country. Releasing Greatest Hits Volume 1 in the fall of 2008, wrapping up with their latest hit cover song, “Life is a Highway” and a second greatest hits two-disc collection in October 2009 featuring a live disc, the Rascal Flatts have come full circle in ten years, reflecting on their success while refusing to take a backseat in the country world. The band has been touring all summer and will be wrapping up their tour with a sold out show at the Comcast on September 19th. 15 of the 18 dates left of their amphitheater tour are already sold out.
