The New England Patriots got their first bit of good news this off season when they announced a three year $27 million deal with WR Randy Moss. The Patriots had already parted ways with Donte Stallworth and Asante Samuel. Losing Randy Moss would have been viewed as a major blow to the Patriots. Moss who stated his desire to stay in New England all year had this to say on his website, “I want to take time out to thank all of the fans for their support and for wishing me well in my return to New England,” Moss wrote. “I’m ready to get back. We have some unfinished business to take care of.”
Moss could have signed in Philadelphia for more money but chose to stick with Tom Brady and the Patriots for another run at the Super Bowl.
