Bruins Sign Rask to 1-Year Deal

The Boston Bruins and Tuukka Rask have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth $3.5 million. Rask started 22 games in place of starting goalie Tim Thomas this past season, earning an 11-8 record with a 2.05 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. (more)

Bruins 2012-13 Schedule Released

The NHL recently released the full 2012-13 regular season schedule for all 30 teams. The Boston Bruins will begin their season on the road against the Philadelphia Flyers October 11th.  (more)

Bruins Extend Contracts for Kelly, Campbell

The Boston Bruins recently re-signed forwards Chris Kelly and Gregory Campbell as confirmed by their agent, Patrick Morris, Monday afternoon. Kelly extended his contract for another four years that will lead him to collect $12 million. (more)

Bruins Top Capitals 4-3, Push Series to Game 7

The Bruins and Capitals will play Game 7. Last year in their Stanley Cup Championship run, the Bruins played seven games in all but one of their playoff series. This year, three of the six games so far have gone into overtime, so the Bruins are continuing the trend of offering their fans exciting games. (more)

The Bruins are up 2-1 in the first playoff series of the postseason against the Washington Capitals. In all three games so far, goalie Tim Thomas has kept it close, giving his team a chance to win. He gets ACE Player of the Week for his consistent stellar postseason play that extends to last season’s big Stanley Cup Win. (more)

Chris Kelly Lifts Bruins Past Caps in OT

Thanks to goalie Tim Thomas and center Chris Kelley, The Boston Bruins won Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs in dramatic fashion. The game remained scoreless until overtime when Kelley’s slapshot slipped through Washington Capital’s goalie Braden Holtby. (more)

Bruins Top Rangers 2-1, Clinch Division

With the 2-1 win against the New York Rangers on Sunday April 1, the Boston Bruins have clinched first place in the Northeast Division as well as a playoff spot. Tim Thomas was the winning goalie for the Bruins, saving 33 and only allowing one in in the first period to Rangers’ right wing Marian Gaborik. (more)
