Seguin, Bruins Agree to 6-year Extension

The Boston Bruins just recently signed forward Tyler Seguin to a six-year contract extension worth an average of $5.75 million per season. The new deal will begin after this year and will keep the 20-year old in a Bruins uniform through 2018-19. (more)

NHL Makes 2nd Proposal to Players

The NHL has recently come back with their second proposal, which was presented to the NHL Players Association at the league offices in Manhattan on Tuesday. The two sides have a number of issues to negotiate if they plan on kicking off the season at the scheduled October 11th start date. (more)

Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask is eager for the 2012-13 regular season to get underway, as he will be the No. 1 option for the Bruins between the pipes this year. Tim Thomas captured most of the media attention in the offseason due to his decision to put his hockey career on hold. The B’s were able to sign Rask to a one-year deal worth $3.5 million soon after. Bruins Sign Claude Julien to Multi-Year Contract

The Boston Bruins have recently confirmed that they will be signing head coach Claude Julien to a multi-year contract extension. Julien has been with the Bruins for five seasons and is entering the final year of his current deal. He is ranked fourth in total wins for the franchise behind Art Ross, Milt Schmidt and Don Cherry, holding a record of 228-132-50. (more)

Bruins Sign Rask to 1-Year Deal

The Boston Bruins and Tuukka Rask have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth $3.5 million. Rask started 22 games in place of starting goalie Tim Thomas this past season, earning an 11-8 record with a 2.05 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. (more)

The Boston Bruins recently re-signed forwards Chris Kelly and Gregory Campbell as confirmed by their agent, Patrick Morris, Monday afternoon. Kelly extended his contract for another four years that will lead him to collect $12 million. (more)
