The New England Patriots (4-3) are atop the AFC East right now and hope to keep their standing after this weekend’s match up against the St. Louis Rams (3-4). The Pats and the Rams head “across the pond” for their Sunday night game. They will be playing at Wembley Stadium in London. (more)

This Week in Boston (October 15 – 21)

The Celtics will open at home this Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets. The team’s preseason opener was in Turkey where they lost to Fenerbahce Ulker 97-91. The Celtics then beat Milano 105-75, however, evening out their record 1-1. They returned to Boston last Monday hopefully after bonding as a cohesive unit. After playing the New York Knicks in CT this past weekend, catch them at the TD Garden on Tuesday to see if they can make a mark in the preseason. (more)

Patriots vs. Seahawks Week Six Preview

This week six contest will be a battle between the NFL’s best offense and the NFL’s best defense. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots offense lead the league in total yards and points scored. On the other hand, the Seattle Seahawks defense leads the league in yards allowed and are second in points allowed. Needless to say, something has to give Sunday when the Patriots square off against the Seahawks. (more)

This week against the Broncos, Rob Ninkovich forced two fumbles to lead the Patriots’ defense. The team beat Denver 31-21 and even though Ninkovich didn’t have a great start to the season, he’s been regaining his confidence. (more)

Stevan Ridley rushed for 151 yards and one touchdown from 28 carries in total, stealing the spotlight in yesterday’s Brady vs. Manning showdown and leading the New England Patriots to win over the Denver Broncos 31-21 at Gillette Stadium. The 23-year old out of LSU fumbled late in the game but the Patriots forced Denver RB Willis McGahee to lose control of the ball soon after for New England to solidify the W. (more)

Running back Brandon Bolden helped the Patriots make history Sunday in a 52-28 win over the Buffalo Bills. Bolden gained 137 yards on just 16 carries which marked the first 100-yard game of his career. (more)

Patriots fans will see a familiar foe with a new look this coming Sunday when Peyton Manning walks out onto the Gillette Stadium turf as a member of the Denver Broncos. Tom Brady directed six consecutive touchdown drives in two quarters, leading the New England Patriots to coast past the Buffalo Bills 52-28 yesterday at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills controlled the tempo throughout the first half, sporting a 21-7 lead four minutes into the third quarter before the Patriots started to roll. (more)
