Short-handed B’s Rally Past Predators

Posted by Ace Staff on October 22nd, 2009

The injury-filled Boston Bruins roster thanks to Steve Begin’s go-ahead goal 8:33 into the third period were able to defeat the Nashville Predators 3-2 last night at the TD Garden. “It’s awesome,” said Begin. “Most important thing is we won the game but it’s great to get my first goal out of the way. Now, I’m going to have to think about something else. Not that I was thinking about it every day but it’s a big relief.” The now 4-4-0 Bruins are missing Milan Lucic, Marc Savard, and Sawn Thornton due to injury. The organization has since called upon Daniel Paille (just acquired from Buffalo Sabres), rookie Brad Marchand and Trend Whitfield to suit up in black and gold for the first time. Boston will now try to stay on the winning side of things as they host the Flyers tonight in Philadelphia. The best deals around for Boston Bruins tickets are right here with us at!

Bruins Trade for Paille

Posted by Ace Staff on October 21st, 2009

The Boston Bruins have recently received Daniel Paille from the Buffalo Sabres for two future draft picks. Paille will be expected to replace forward Milan Lucic for the time being, who is to undergo surgery on Sunday for his broken finger. The LW seven year veteran was selected in the first round of the 2002 NHL draft.  Paille this season has found difficulties in cracking the line up in Buffalo, but will certainly get his chance to immediately contribute with the Bruins.  Through his career he has earned a total of 35 goals and 77 points in his 195 NHL games played. The B’s are set to host the Nashville Predators tonight at 7:00 PM in Boston. Bruins tickets are available all season long with us at!

Nashville Predators 2008 Mid-Season Report

Posted by Ace Staff on January 20th, 2008

Recap – The Nashville Predators have been on the prowl in hopes of securing a playoff spot. Over the past ten games, with a 6-2-2 record, they have jumped to 2nd in the division standings and hope to continue to gain ground of the all-mighty Red Wings who have a firm grasp of the top spot. Goaltender Dan Ellis has the 5th highest save percentage in the league boasting a .924% mark. He shares time with Chris Mason who also has very good numbers and combined the two have 7 shutouts. In his 13th NHL season, center Jason Arnott led the team in total points (43), and the captain dished out 26 assists getting everyone else on his line involved. 2nd Half – Nashville had 20 players receive major minutes in the first half of the NHL season. With so many players out on the ice it was hard for some to create team chemistry and click in game situations. For the Predators to make the playoffs, the organization needs to settle on its top 3 lines, and stick with them so that they gel in time for a late push towards the cut.
