Celtics Keep Rolling over Bucks

Posted by Ace Staff on December 9th, 2009

Rajon Rondo came up one board shy of a triple double as the Boston Celtics went on to win their eighth straight over the Milwaukee Bucks 98-89 last night at TD Garden. All 11 of Rondo’s total points were produced down the stretch during the C’s 27-18 fourth quarter run. Kevin Garnett led the charge in scoring for Boston with 25 points. Paul Pierce and Kendrick Perkins netted 15 apiece with Ray Allen and Rasheed Wallace each throwing in a side of 13. “With everybody else on the team, you kind of lose focus on Rondo a little bit,” said Bucks rookie star PG Brandon Jennings. “You’re so worried about Pierce scoring, Garnett scoring and Allen scoring. But he did a good job for them, attacking the basket, making plays. And he made some big free throws.” The Bucks will try to earn their first victory in five games tonight against the Toronto Raptors. The Celtics are scheduled to take on the Wizards tomorrow in Washington. Boston Celtics tickets are now available!

Howard Leads Orlando to Victory Over Bucks

Posted by Ace Staff on March 20th, 2009

Dwight Howard had 28 points, 12 rebounds, and was just 3 assists shy of a triple double to help the Orlando Magic blow out the Milwaukee Bucks 106-80 Wednesday night.  Hedo Turkoglu netted 14 points with 10 rebounds as the Magic went on to earn their eighth win in 10 games. The Bucks are fighting desperately for the last spot in the playoffs with a 31-39 record.  Their next game will be against the Portland Trailblazers at home before they hit the road for four games. The win for Orlando marked their second consecutive season with 50+ wins.  “Other people can downplay winning a division title or winning 50 games,” said head coach Stan Van Gundy.  “I’m appreciative of our guys’ effort and what it takes to get to 50 wins.  To do it two years in a row is a measure of your organization getting better and getting some consistency.  Look for the Magic to host the New York Knicks for their next game on Saturday, March 21st. Orlando Magic tickets are available now!

Oden Has Breakout Game vs Bucks

Posted by Ace Staff on January 20th, 2009

Portland “rookie” Greg Oden is finally starting to have the kind of games the Trailblazers drafted him for. Oden’s 24 point, 15 rebound, 2 steal, and 2 block outing helped the Blazers shred the Milwaukee Bucks. It was Oden’s 12th double-double on the season, team best for the season. Portland’s 102-85 win puts them at 25-16 on the season, putting them just 1.5 games behind Denver in the Northwest division. Despite the Darius Miles salary cap drama, the Trail Blazers have been playing solid .500 ball since the holiday break, and will face off against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Portland Trail Blazers tickets are available now!

Celtics Survive Bucks, Win in OT

Posted by Ace Staff on November 16th, 2008

A tired Boston Celtics team was able to fight off a late Bucks rally to finish with the win in overtime last night in Milwaukee.  The win put the Celtics at 9-2 on the year while the Bucks dropped to 5-6.  The Celtics were playing their 8th game in 12 days and at times looked like they could use a rest.  Boston will get two days to rest before facing the Knicks on Tuesday 11/18 at the TD Banknorth Garden. The Celtics held a strong 50-38 lead going into the third period and looked poised to cruise to the win.  The Bucks however would erase Boston’s 12 point lead in the 4th quarter to force OT.  The Celtics had the edge in the end, winning 102-97 thanks in large part to Paul Pierce’s 28 points.  Celtics tickets are available for all games including Tuesday night’s matchup with the New York Knicks.

Celtics Dispose of Bucks 101-89

Posted by Ace Staff on November 8th, 2008

For the second straight game the Boston Celtics found themselves behind after the first quarter. The Milwaukee Bucks came out strong led by Richard Jefferson’s early 6-6 shooting performance but were unable to hold the lead before the half. The Celtics would finish the half up 55-47. Jefferson finished the game with 20 points for the Bucks. Paul Pierce played a large part in the Celtics’ comeback last night. He finished with a team high 18 points with 10 rebounds added in. The win was the 5th on the year for the Celtics (5-1) who have held all six of their opponents under 100 points. Defense continues to win games for the defending champions. The Celtics will play their next home game on 11/10 vs the Toronto Raptors at the TD Banknorth Garden. Celtics tickets are available for this and all Boston games.
