The Boston Celtics completed the best turn-around in NBA history when they beat the Bobcats 101-78 on Saturday night. The victory topped the previous record held by the San Antonio Spurs from the 1997-98 season. That was the year the Spurs landed Tim Duncan. The Celtics also benefited from the key off-season acquisition of Kevin Garnett to complete their turn-around in 2007-08.
Ironically enough the Celtics clinched the top seed in the upcoming playoffs without the help of their three superstars, the Big Three of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. Leon Powe stepped up with 22 points and 9 rebounds while James Posey added a season high 19 points. The rest was well deserved for the Big Three of the Celtics. With the top seed locked up for the playoffs the Celtics will want their best players to be rested for the 2nd season. Paul Pierce had the night off to celebrate the birth of his baby girl.
Boston Celtics playoff tickets are now available for all possible rounds including the NBA Finals.
