Boston first baseman Adrian Gonzalez was placed on trade waivers and claimed by the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this afternoon.  The Red Sox have 72 hours to pull Gonzalez back off of waivers, work out a trade with the Dodgers, or allow the Dodgers to simply pickup his contract. The eight-year veteran has $127 million and six years remaining on his current deal. (more)
