Posted by Ace Staff on April 6th, 2010

The Boston Red Sox started off strong in 2010 with a comeback win over the New York Yankees on Easter Sunday. They are prepared to challenge their longtime rivals for two more games starting tonight at 7:10 PM. Jon Lester and AJ Burnett will take the mound first before John Lackey makes his debut in Red Sox uniform against veteran Andy Pettitte the following day. The Sox won’t be back in Boston until the Tampa Bay Rays come to town for four games from April 16th - 19th. Red Sox Yankees tickets are still available for $85 apiece. The Boston Bruins just recently earned a point in a hard fought overtime loss against the top ranked Washington Capitals. They are shaping up to earn one of the remaining playoff spots with just three games to go. Watch the B’s in action this week on Thursday and Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes with Loge seats currently listed at $55. The Boston Celtics are also in town for one game this week on Friday against the Washington Wizards. The Celts are building momentum after edging the Cleveland Cavaliers to conclude last weekend’s offensive thriller. They hold the #4 spot behind the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference standings. Celtics vs Wizards tickets are on sale for $35. If game times for Celtics, Bruins and Red Sox don’t work to your needs, check for New England Revolution and Boston Blazers tickets this week. This Week in Boston Sports (March 29-April 4)

Posted by Ace Staff on March 29th, 2010

The 2010 MLB regular season will soon be underway with the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees matching up Sunday, April 4th at Fenway Park. Boston has been motivated to start strong following last year’s ALDS loss to the Los Angeles Angels. With new additions that include ace pitcher John Lackey and third basemen Adrian Beltre, the Sox are again ranked among the league’s premier teams. Opening Day tickets are still on sale with prices starting at $175. As the Red Sox look forward to their first official games of the year, the Bruins and Celtics will battle to build momentum with playoffs just around the corner. The TD Garden is set to welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers from March 31st to April 4th. The C’s have already solidified their playoff spot behind the Cavaliers and Orlando Magic. Celtics prices this week range from $35 to $85 apiece. The Bruins are still holding on to the eight spot with hopes to clinch within the next few games. A pair of victories at home would help this week against the Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers. The Sabres will make their way to Boston tonight before the Panthers arrive at the Garden on Thursday. Bruins tickets are now available for just under $40. The Boston Blazers are prepared to play host to the Orlando Titans Saturday, April 4th. The National Lacrosse League provides some of the most thrilling competition between the indoor setting with boards to the constant up tempo style of play. The NLL Boston Blazers are set to host the Philadelphia Wings at the TD Garden Saturday, January 30th at 1:00 PM. Despite starting the season 0-3, the Blazers just recently notched their first 2010 win over the Orlando Titans earlier this week. Prime time scorers Nick Cotter and Brendan Thenhaus produced seven goals combined to lead their squad to a decisive 13-9 victory. “The slow start really hurt us tonight,” said Titans head coach Ed Comeau. “Give Boston a lot of credit, they wanted this game a little more than we did tonight.” Now is your chance to witness some of the most thrilling indoor lacrosse around at the Garden.
