NFL Playoffs 2009 Week 2 Results

The second round of the 2008-2009 NFL playoffs is over! Saturday, January 10th Baltimore 13 – Tennessee 10: Baltimore stunned the Titans, after a controversial first down. With the play clock seemingly expired, Baltimore made a first down followed by a Rob Bironas field goal to lock up the win. Arizona 33 – Carolina 13: Jake Delhomme’s five interceptions put the game out of reach for the Panthers. Sunday, January 11th Philadelphia 23 – New York Giants 11: Donovan McNabb and the Eagles overcame a 92-yard showing by Brandon Jacobs to move on to the NFC Championship game. Pittsburgh 35 – San Diego 24: Willie Parker had a monster day, racking up 146 yards and two touchdowns. San Diego was without star running back  LaDanian Tomlinson again. NFL Playoffs Week 1 Results

The first round of the NFL Playoffs are over, and the divisional round match-ups are set. Saturday, January 3rd Arizona 30, Atlanta 24 The slumping  Cardinals beat the surging Falcons to move to the divisional round for only the second time in a decade. San Diego 23, Indianapolis 17 (OT) Peyton Manning and the Colts have been knocked off in the first round of the playoffs for the sixth time in their last eight appearances. Sunday January 4th Baltimore 27, Miami 9 Chad Pennington threw four interceptions right to the solid Baltimore defense. The Ravens even managed to block the PAT on Miami’s only touchdown. Philadelphia 26, Minnesota 14 Brian Westbrook’s highlight-reel 71 yard reception put the Eagles out of reach. 2009 NFL Playoff Schedule

The 2009 NFL Playoffs begin on Saturday, January 3rd. At 4:30pm the surprising 11-5 Atlanta Falcons take on the 9-7 Arizona Cardinals. At 8pm, the 12-4 Indianapolis Colts host the 8-8 San Diego Chargers. On Sunday, January 4th at 1pm the 11-5 Baltimore Ravens meet the 11-5 Miami Dolphins. At 4:30pm the 9-6-1 Philadelphia Eagles take on the 10-6 Minnesota Vikings. On Saturday, January 10th, the lowest seeded AFC winner plays the 13-3 Tennessee Titans at 4:30pm, and the lowest seeded NFC team plays the 12-4 Carolina Panthers at 8:15pm.  The next day, Sunday January 11th, sees the highest seeded NFC winner from the first round facing the 12-4 New York Giants at 1pm, and the highest seeded AFC winner of the first week will play the 12-4 Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:30pm.
