Sports - Last night the Tampa Bay Rays made their fourth win-or-go-home game in nine days against the Boston Red Sox at Tropicana Field. Jose Lobaton’s solo home run hit during the 9th inning helped Tampa stave off elimination once again and gave the Rays their 5-4 victory against the Sox. (more)
Concerts - Usually I jot, “listened to radio pop-rock music” in my medical records. Modern medicine may not have made the proper advancements, but it will soon prove the effects of it are deteriorating. Over the summer, however, I played Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive” on infinity and the band actually has something going for them. I might even snag tickets for their Worcester show when they head out on their “Into the Night” arena tour. (more)
Sports - While the Boston Red Sox have been resting after their 97 wins, the Tampa Bay Rays have embarked on something close to a North American Tour. The Rays went from New York to Toronto to Texas to finally, Cleveland where they garnered a 4-0 win against the Cleveland Indians. Saving sleep for after the American League Division, the Rays will face the Sox for the best-of-five division series beginning this Friday at Fenway Park. (more)
Sports - Unfortunately, the Boston Bruins’ current wallet could not provide for their 2012-2013 exquisite, athlete taste. Consequentially, the Bruins were forced to toss or trade five essential players from last season: Nathan Horton, Tyler Seguin, Andrew Ferrence, Rich Peverly, and Anton Khudobin. Nevertheless, as the Bruins enter their regular season, they should still look just as strong as they did last year. (more)
Concerts - If it was up to me, Miley Cyrus’ seven-year career will end much sooner than Cher’s forty-year legacy. A few years back, Cher announced her “Farewell Tour” and paved the way for her retirement. (And I had to hide all the sharp objects in my house from my overwhelmed, self-inflicted, disco-diva mother.) Now it seems like Cher just won’t stop: She recently announced her North-American, five-month, “Dressed to Kill” tour. (more)
Concerts - After you combine one part jam-band, the lingering smell of spilled bong water fused with cool ranch Doritos, and finally, the sound of acoustic guitar blared from your mother’s basement, you potentially get a band known as Phish. If I wanted to listen to someone that doesn’t wash his hair rattle on about peace, love, and understanding, I’d take my time machine back to Woodstock . But for those of you Phish fans reading this, you’ll be happy to know the band announced some upcoming shows.
Sports - Things could be looking good for the New England Patriots in their upcoming match against the Atlanta Falcons. The Patriots are already enjoying a 3-0 start. The Falcons, on the other hand, are already falling behind 1-2, including a 23-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins. (more)
