Bruins break away-game losing streak and defeat Hurricanes

Sports - On Monday night, the Boston Bruins closed their first period with a 2-0 lead over the Carolina Hurricanes. After playing a scoreless second period, it seemed like the Bruins were going to experience a similar fate to its Friday night game against the Ottawa Senators. They didn’t. The Bruins left the PNC Arena with a 4-1 win over the Hurricanes. (more)

Lucic earns first overtime goal and Bruins defeat the Blue Jackets

Sports - Last night at the TD Garden, Milan Lucic earned the first overtime goal of his career, breaking the tie between the Boston Bruins and the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Bruins concluded their home stand by defeating the Jackets. (more)

Ellsbury, Drew, and Napoli decline $14.1 million dollar contract

Sports - On Monday, MLB players Jacoby Ellsbury, Stephen Drew, and Mike Napoli declined a $14.1 million dollar offer that would accompany another one-year contract with the Boston Red Sox. These offers were also extended to thirteen other agents and were declined by them as well. (more)

Celtics defeat Magic for fourth consecutive win
