The Celtics beat Bobcats the second time around

Sports - The Boston Celtics have performed inconsistently this season to say the least. After finding themselves in a six-game losing streak, they managed a winning game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. And more recently, they defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 96-86 on Monday night. (more)

Torey Krug scores in overtime and Bruins snap out of losing streak to Penguins

On Monday night, the Boston Bruins defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 at TD Garden. After three regular periods between the two top Eastern Conference teams, Torey Krug scored the game winning goal 34 seconds into overtime. (more)

Prince announces three-night year-end run

Concerts - I don’t know about you but after the holidays my weight skyrockets nearly into quadruple numbers. My legs become limp and the only exercise I know is fisting egg nog and the disappearing act when it’s time to start shoveling. I found a type of run, however, that can get me moving again right before the New Year—Prince’s three-night year-end run at Mohegan Sun Arena. (more)

Sports - Starting in the 2007-2008 season, a Boston Celtics win over the Indiana Pacers seemed almost definite. The Celtics now lack Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, however, and the times have changed. The Celtics might have to struggle to avoid a sixth consecutive loss. (more)

Sports - While the Boston Bruins didn’t maintain a steady lead in Thursday’s game, their performance was certainly evenly-matched with the St. Louis Blues. Unfortunately, it all came down to an overtime shoot-out where the B’s fell short. (more)

A-Rod walks out of arbitration hearing

On Wednesday, New York Yankees’ third baseman, Alex Rodriguez walked out of an ongoing arbitration hearing. After arbitrator Fred Horowitz ruled that MLB commissioner Bud Selig did not have to testify before Rodriguez’s attorneys, Rodriguez stormed out.  (more)

Celtics play strong but ultimately fall to Spurs

On Tuesday night, the Boston Celtics were defeated by the Houston Rockets by 24 points in an embarrassing loss, to say the least. When the Celtics entered their next Texas game against the San Antonio Spurs, they experienced yet another loss, however, this was no mere defeat. (more)

Concerts - As soon as school starts I find myself hanging with my best friends, Associated Press Stylebook and MLA Style Manual, appreciating the beautiful leaves falling and also acknowledging that my social life is dying at a faster rate than the foliage. Unfortunately for fellow stressed students and me, the best concerts always happen at this time. Both the winter and spring’s concert selections, however, aren’t looking too shabby either. (more)
