2010 NBA All Star Game Hosted at Cowboys Stadium

Posted by Ace Staff on July 23rd, 2009

After the resounding succeses that were the Las Vegas and Phoenix NBA All Star games, next season’s edition is slated to be bigger and better. The Dallas Mavericks will be hosting the event at the brand new, 80,000 seat Cowboys Stadium. The state of the art new home of “America’s team” features massive 72 by 160 foot LED screens that will ensure that every fan in attendance will have a clear view of the action. The Mavericks last hosted the All Star Weekend in 1986, at Reunion Arena. Mavs owner Mark Cuban had previously rejected an offer for the team to host the event, citing that season ticket holders for host teams generally do not have a chance to attend. The arrangement at Cowboys Stadium will ensure that all season ticket holders will have an opportunity, though premium tickets will still be in high demand. 2010 NBA All Star Game tickets are available now!

Red Sox Get 1st Win at Yankee Stadium

Posted by Ace Staff on May 5th, 2009

The Boston Red Sox are now 4-0 against the rival New York Yankees in 2009. Boston enjoyed its first win at the new Yankee Stadium last night with 6-4 rain delayed victory.  Papelbon saved the game for the Sox striking out Cano with the bases loaded in the 9th inning. The Yankees did have some positives in this one. The struggling Mark Texiera homered twice, once from each side of the plate. Damon also added a homer for New York in the losing effort.  The Yankees may have lost Jorge Posada to a hamstring injury. Posada will not play tonight against the Red Sox.  It also appears that A-Rod will be rejoining the Yankees this Friday. Tonight’s Red Sox vs Yankees game features Josh Beckett vs Joba Chamberlain.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.  Red Sox tickets are available for all games.

Celtics Gearing Up For Playoffs This Saturday

Posted by Ace Staff on April 14th, 2009

With two games left to play in the 2009 regular season, the defending champion Boston Celtics are ready to make their next run at an NBA title.  They will either match up for the opening round against the Philadelphia 76ers or the Chicago Bulls.  The Sixers are currently a 1/2 game ahead of the Bulls with a 40-40 record.  Chicago has one game left against the Raptors, and Philly will be challenged by the Celtics and the #1 seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in their final two games. The C’s have matched up against the Sixers very well this year, winning all three contests thus far.  They went 2-1 against the Bulls, losing in Chicago last March.  With home court advantage on their side, Boston should be able to handle either team in a series. Kevin Garnett recently stated that he will be sidelined for the remainder of the regular season.  They are going to need him for the playoffs in round 2 when they run into the Cavs.  After losing 76-107 last Sunday in Cleveland, Boston will be fired up to prove themselves as real contenders.  If Garnett comes back healthy for the post-season and the rest of the C’s continue to play their game, the Celtics could be in the midst of possibly earning their second straight NBA championship. Regardless of who they play, the Celtics are set to host game 1 of the 1st round this Saturday at the TD Banknorth Garden. Tip off will likely be 12:30 or 1:00 pm. Celtics Playoff tickets are now available.
