The Boston Celtics opened their season with four consecutive losses. Thereafter, the Celtics rose up and earned four consecutive wins. With that in mind, I’d rather characterize the team as wildcards than simple underdogs. (more)

Ellsbury, Drew, and Napoli decline $14.1 million dollar contract

On Monday, MLB players Jacoby Ellsbury, Stephen Drew, and Mike Napoli declined a $14.1 million dollar offer that would accompany another one-year contract with the Boston Red Sox. These offers were also extended to thirteen other agents and were declined by them as well. (more)

Bruins shutdown Lightning for the second time

On Monday, the Boston Bruins shutdown the Tampa Bay Lightning and earned their third consecutive win. The Bruins and Lightning have faced each other three times in the past five weeks. Boston has shutdown Tampa twice. (more)

Celtics defeat Magic for fourth consecutive win

The Boston Celtics defeated the Orlando Magic on Monday night. Now the Celtics, who looked like they were going to be the NBA’s underdogs, are tied with the Philadelphia 76ers for first place in the Atlantic Division. (more)

Bruins face the Stars tonight: Seguin plays against former team as Eriksson recovers

If you are a thirteen to thirty-year old girl, you might remember former Boston Bruin, center/swooner and youngster, Tyler Seguin. And I’m pretty sure for some of you, it’s the whole reason you started watching the Bruins in the first place. Of course, Seguin is now a Dallas Star, but we’re all in luck—The Bruins are playing the Stars tonight at the TD Garden. (more)

Celtics lose fourth consecutive game to Grizzlies

Some of us are still hurting from that hangover the World Series’ parade caused. Looking at the Celtics’ current season, we won’t have to worry about that type of doing that type of partying for them. Monday night, the Memphis Grizzlies beat Boston 95-88 and the Celtics experienced their fourth consecutive loss of the season. (more)

Celtics open home game against the Bucks

The Boston Celtics will open their first home game, tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks. If the Celtics want to avoid a 0-2 start, competitive consistency will be vital. (more)
