Plane Crash Brings Blink 182 Members Together

Posted by Ace Staff on November 24th, 2008

One positive thing seems to have come out of the September 19th plane crash that killed four people and seriously injured DJ AM and Travis Barker. Barker’s old friends and fellow Blink 182 members Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge have reconnected since the tragedy. Hoppus commented on the situation on his blog: ” ‘Does this mean a Blink-182 reunion?’ The answer is none of us know. We haven’t talked about it at all. Right now it’s just good for the three of us to see one another, reconnect and let the past be the past. The events of the past two months supersede everything that happened before. Life is too short.” Sign up to be notified when Blink 182 tickets become available

What Exactly is a Free Kick in the NFL?

Posted by Ace Staff on November 24th, 2008

On Sunday the Arizona Cardinals attempted something that had not been successfully pulled off since 1968 – a free kick field goal. Players, fans, coaches, and even the refs seemed to be confused about the specifics as it was occurring. Although rare, the free kick can be a useful way to parlay a bad punt into three fast points. A team may attempt a free kick after fielding a ball on a fair catch (even if the clock runs out during the kicking play). The kicker may not use a tee, and the defense must stay back ten yards from the line of scrimmage. Cards kicker Neil Rackers failed in his attempt, and the New York Giants finished the first half with a 17-12 lead (in a game they would ultimately win. New York Giants tickets are available for all games!

Posted by Ace Staff on November 17th, 2008

USA Today Sports Weekly recently released a list ranking all MLB franchises by a number of criteria (including on-field performance and front office business). The Boston Red Sox secured the top spot; thanks in part to five postseason trips in the past two years, two World Series titles, one rookie of the year and multiple Cy Young Award candidates, a healthy mix of high profile veterans and successful home-grown rookies, and maintaining and improving Fenway Park. The ownership group, helmed by John Henry, Tom Werner, and Larry Lucchino, has turned the Red Sox into a very successful brand name. 2009 Boston Red Sox Tickets are available for all games!

Posted by Ace Staff on November 11th, 2008

Arenas will not return until mid-January at the earliest, and the future of the Wizards team without him is uncertain. Even Antawn Jamison, who played with a passion during Arenas’ absence least year, seems uninterested. The Wizards hope that a big pep talk will help them score a big win against the 5-1 Utah Jazz on Wednesday night. Great deals are avaiable for Washington Wizards Tickets Now!
