This Week in Boston (October 22-28)

The Weeknd will be coming to the House of Blues for two nights on Monday and Tuesday. The Canadian R&B singer Abel Tesfaye has been on tour for a month now, hitting the road with Florence + The Machine. His show this week will include songs off of his mixtape albums House of Baloons, Echoes Of Silence and Thursday. Tesfaye will bring his nocturnal like beats to the House of Blues in an effort to place you in the underground nightlife scene of lust, over-indulgence and broken hearts. (more)

KISS 108′s Jingle Ball At TD Garden For First Time

KISS 108′s Jingle Ball will be held on Thursday, December 6. The show will be held at Boston’s TD Garden. This is the first time since 2001 that Jingle Ball has not been held at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell. (more)

Rolling Stones Set To Tour Again

Legendary rock and roll band, The Rolling Stones, announced Monday on their website and on YouTube that they would return to the stage this year with four concerts in Britain and the United States. The shows will be held at London’s O2 Arena on November 25 and 29 and at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on December 13 and 15. (more)

Big League productions presents the critically acclaimed production at the Wang Theatre in Boston, MA this holiday season. Max the Dog narrates the whimsical tale of the Grinch’s plan to steal Christmas from the holiday-loving Whos. Featuring hits “Welcome Christmas” and “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” from the original animation, Tony Award winning director Jack O’Brien brings to life this heart-warming holiday classic. (more)

This Week in Boston (October 15 – 21)

The Celtics will open at home this Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets. The team’s preseason opener was in Turkey where they lost to Fenerbahce Ulker 97-91. The Celtics then beat Milano 105-75, however, evening out their record 1-1. They returned to Boston last Monday hopefully after bonding as a cohesive unit. After playing the New York Knicks in CT this past weekend, catch them at the TD Garden on Tuesday to see if they can make a mark in the preseason. (more)

Nas And Lauryn Hill Announce 2012 Tour

Nas and Lauryn Hill are two of hip-hop’s most influential voices. In September they announced their Life Is Good/Black Rage tour. The tour will kick off on October 29 in Dallas, TX and conclude in Oakland, CA on November 19 after 10 shows. (more)

Muse Announces 2013 Tour Dates

English rock band Muse announced the first set of dates for their upcoming 2013 headlining tour. Beginning February 3 in Edmonon, Alberta, the tour will hit locations all over the US and Canada before tentatively wrapping up in Quebec City on April 26. (more)

This Week in Boston (October 8 -14)

War Horse begins its two-week run at Boston Opera House this Wednesday. The Tony Award Winning drama, based off the book of the same name by Michael Morpurgo, was adapted by Nick Stafford for the stage production. Despite the author’s hesitance, the play opened to huge success on Broadway in 2011. Show times are at 7:30PM Tuesdays-Thursdays, 8PM Fridays and Saturdays and 6:30PM on Sundays. (more)
