See U2 Live for Free This Sunday

Legendary rock band U2 has confirmed through video blog that their concert at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in CA on Sunday, October 25th will be accesable for free on YouTube.  The band felt that this would be the best way to give all fans a chance to see the show due to the high demand for tickets. “The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time,” said U2 manager Paul McGuinness. “As we’re filming the LA show, it’s the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 – this time U2 can go to them, globally.” U2 will be playing at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glandale, AZ on Tuesday, October 20th. They will then travel to Las Vegas on Friday, October 23rd to perform at the Sam Boyd Stadium before making their way to Pasadena, CA for the worldwide event. McBride, Adkins Set for 2009-10 Tour

Country stars Martina McBride and Trace Adkins have just recently announced their upcoming tour together, planning to hit 40 different US cities from November to next April.  They will open on November 20th at the Verizon Wireless Center in Moline, IL and will wrap up at the Bismarck Civic Center April 10th in Bismarck, ND. The DCU Center in Worcester, MA will welcome them on January 30th. McBride will likely feature new material from her 10th studio album “Shine,” which after its release in March debuted at #3 on The Billboard 200. Adkins is working from his 10th record as well titled “X.”  His album reached #7 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums list, and the first single “Muddy Water” has been climbing the charts by the day. Garth Brooks to Return in Vegas

Country sensation Garth Brooks has announced that he will be returning to the music scene since retiring in 2000 when he wished to spend more time with his family. Now the singer-songwriter is ready to make a comeback, recently signing a five year contract with the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas for concerts.  The extended number of shows at the venue will kick off the weekend of December 11th. “We’re going to take the retirement roof off over our head, and I already feel taller,” said Brooks. “As for touring, if I can’t eat it, sleep it, breathe it, then it ain’t me.” Brooks most recent album “Scarecrow” was released in 2001.  The 47 year old plans to start recording and releasing new material as soon as possible.  Selling over 200 million total albums worldwide with 24 #1 singles from his previous nine studio albums, Garth Brooks is certainly one of the best country musicians of all time.  Look for tickets to be available soon for Garth Brooks in 2010!

Owl City 2010 Winter Tour

Owl City (Adam Young) has just recently announced his plans to further tour the United States in 2010. He is now in the midst of his fall tour, playing for sold-out audiences across the nation.  The winter tour will kick off on January 21st at the Beaumont Club in Kansas City and will end at the Revolution Music Room in Little Rock on February 10th. Young started making music in his parents basement because of his troubles with insomnia.  Him and music partners Andrew Farley, Caleb Best and Breanne Duren complete the name on stage. His influences came from disco and European type electronic music.  The Owl City 2009 hit single “Fireflies” reached the #11 spot on the US Hot 100 charts. Young will be performing at the Troubadour in Hollywood next Tuesday, October 20th at 6:00 PM. Agganis Arena to Welcome Zac Brown Band

American country group Zac Brown Band will be performing at the Agganis Arena in Boston, MA this Friday, October 16th at 7:30 PM. Following the Boston show they will be set to play in Camden, NJ on the 17th and in Champaign, IL on the 21st. While on their tour they have mostly featured songs from their new album “The Foundation.” After the albums release in November of 2008 it went on to reach #2 on the US Country charts and #11 on the US pop charts.  Zac Brown Band consists of Zac Brown himself with Jason Sawyer (vocals, guitar), Jimmy De Martini (fiddle, vocals), John Driskell Hopkins (bass guitar, vocals), Coy Bowles (guitar, organ), Chris Fryar (drums) and Clay Cook (guitar, organ, mandolin, steel guitar, vocals). Their most well known singles are “Chicken Fried,” “Whatever It Is,” and “Toes,” all of which have attained at least the #4 spot on the US Country singles charts. The band was nominated for four different awards including New Artist Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Single Of The Year, and Music Video Of The Year for the 2009 CMA Awards. Phish Reunion Tour Part II

Legendary rock band Phish is back for more performances! They just recently released a string of concert dates from November 18th to December 5th at different venues in cities including Portland, Detroit, Syracuse, Philadelphia, Albany, New York City, and Charlottesville.  The Portland, ME show is set for November 29th at the Cumberland County Civic Center. They will then travel to Madison Square Garden for three concerts from December 2nd to the 4th. Before heading to the east coast, Phish will be the headliner for a three-day eight set festival at Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA. Rolling Stone Magazine said the band has ”spawned a new wave of bands oriented around group improvisation and super extended grooves,” and continued to claim them as “the most important band of the Nineties.” The band all year has been working on their 14th studio album “Joy” with Lilly White.  The first single “Time Turns Elastic” was available on iTunes in May, followed by the album release on September 8th. Bob Dylan to Extend Fall Tour

Longtime singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has announced he will add more concert dates in the northeast to his 2009 fall tour.  From November 13th to the 15th he is now set to perform at the Citi Performing Arts Center in Boston before heading to New York City, where he just recently scheduled three performances at the United Palace from November 17th to 19th. Dylan has been tearing up the main stage successfully since the early 1960′s. The multi-talented musician is an accomplished guitar, harmonica, keyboard, and bass player.  From his 33 released studio albums he has produced 58 singles.  Not only has Dylan built himself up as one of the best musical artists ever. He has also been produced brilliant work as an author, poet, and screen writer.  He has won numerous Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Awards. Dylan was recognized in the ‘Time 100: The Most Important People of the Century’ where he was called “master poet, caustic social critic and intrepid, guiding spirit of the counterculture generation”. Lenny Kravitz Soon to Arrive In Boston

Longtime singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz is set to perform at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA on Wednesday, October 21st.  Before he makes his way there he will be playing a string of shows at the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza, and will also headline October 17th at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.  The concerts are scheduled as a part of his 2009 American tour, where he has showcased his 2008 album titled “It Is Time for a Love Revolution.”  The album when released made it to #4 on the U.S. Charts.  From 1998 to 2002, Kravitz won the Grammy Award for Best Male Vocal Performance for four years in a row.
