ESPN’s Buster Olney and Peter Gammons are reporting that free agent 1B Mark Teixeira’s decision on where he will spend the next 6-10 years of his career is “imminent.” An announcement is expected today. All signs point to the Red Sox as front-runners with the Washington Nationals trailing just behind. Teixeira batted .308 with 33 home runs and 121 RBI in 2008.
