NFL Week 15 Results

Week 15 showcased some of the most thrilling NFL contests in this year’s regular season. The New England Patriots held off the Buffalo Bills to find themselves two games up in the AFC East. A handful of teams were able to clinch their respective divisions. So far the Colts, Chargers, Eagles, Vikings, Saints, and Cardinals have solidified home field advantage for their first post-season matchups. The AFC is currently featuring a number of teams with similar hopes to sneak into one of the Wild Card spots. The Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos hold 8-6 records while the Jets, Dolphins, Steelers, Jaguars, Titans, and Texans stand at .500. The New York Giants are set to take on the Washington Redskins tonight at 8:30 PM.

Indianapolis Colts 35, Jacksonville Jaguars 31 – Peyton Manning threw for 308 yards and 4 touchdowns to keep the Colts perfect at 14-0.

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

Dallas Cowboys 24, New Orleans Saints 17 – New Orleans created some much needed 4th quarter momentum with two TD’s in attempts to keep their pursuit of perfection alive, but eventually ran out of time against Romo and the 9-5 Cowboys.

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

New England Patriots 17, Buffalo Bills 10 – The Pats were up by 14 when Buffalo posted seven more down the stretch. From there they failed to retrieve the onside kick, giving New England the hard fought win.

Arizona Cardinals 31, Detroit Lions 24 – Kurt Warner threw for 233 yards and 2 TD’s from 23 passes completed.

Tennessee Titans 27, Miami Dolphins 24 – Rob Bironas sent one through the uprights from 46 yards away in OT for the Titans to claim victory.

Cleveland Browns 41, Kansas City Chiefs 34 – Josh Cribbs took two kickoffs to the house as Jerome Harrison rushed for a team record 286 yards.

Houston Texans 16, St Louis Rams 13 – The Texans heavily depended on field goals to steal this one from St Louis.

Atlanta Falcons 10, New York Jets 7 – Matt Ryan led his squad down field in the final minutes for their only TD to win over New York by 3.

Oakland Raiders 20, Denver Broncos 19 – The Raiders gained a touchdown to Denver’s field goal in the fourth block to notch the 1 point advantage.

San Diego Chargers 27, Cincinnati Bengals 24 – Philip Rivers helped San Diego clinch the West with 308 passing yards and 3 TD’s.

Philadelphia Eagles 27, San Francisco 49ers 13 – The Eagles went to work early in the first half with 20 points while holding the 49ers to 3.

Pittsburgh Steelers 37, Green Bay Packers 36 – Ben Roethlisberger hit Mike Wallace with a desperation 19-yard TD pass in the final seconds to keep Pittsburgh’s playoff hopes alive.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24, Seattle Seahawks 7 – The Bucs scored 18 3rd quarter points and coasted from there to defeat Seattle with conviction.

Baltimore Ravens 31, Chicago Bears 7 – Joe Flacco threw for 234 yards and 4 TD’s from 21 passes completed.

Carolina Panthers 26, Minnesota Vikings 7 – Carolina lit up the Vikings defense in the 4th with 20  points to win by 19.
