Led Zeppelin Rocks O2 Arena in London.

Posted by Ace Staff on December 11th, 2007 in Concerts

In what can now be called the year of the reunion show, you can add Led Zeppelin to the list of successful rock acts to reunite this year. Following in the footsteps of The Police and Genesis, on 12/10/07 the surviving members of Zeppelin: Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones joined Jason Bonham, son of the deceased Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, to play a full length concert in honor of Ahmet Ertegen. Ahmet was the founder of Atlantic records and signed many acts including Led Zeppelin. Unlike previous Zeppelin reunion shows, last night’s show in London was practically flawless.

The band tore through numbers like Good Times-Bad Times, Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir, and Stairway to Heaven. Despite their age and wear & tear, the band sounded just as good as they did 25 years ago. Despite overwhelming demand and a successful show under their belt, Page and Plant are reluctant to discuss plans for a future Led Zeppelin tour. Robert Plant has already committed to a solo tour for much of 2008. The possibility still exists however that Led Zeppelin will be coming to an arena near you soon.
