Taylor Swift Reveals Concert Plans

Posted by Ace Staff on December 1st, 2010 in Concerts

Teen country sensation Taylor Swift has come forward with a new set of concert dates in light of her third studio album Speak Now. The 19-country ‘Speak Now World Tour’ will begin in the Asia-Pacific region in February before shifting to Europe in March. Swift plans to headline a number of U.S. shows that will start up in Omaha, NE in May and conclude at the New Dallas Cowboys Stadium in October. Although certain venues have yet to be specified, other confirmed stadiums include Gillette Stadium, Ford Field, Heinz Field, Staples Center, Lincoln Financial Field and Arrowhead Stadium.

Following its release this October, Speak Now debuted atop the Billboard 200 with first-week sales reaching over 1 million in the U.S. alone. The albums lead single, “Mine,” was released in August and peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100.

Swift was last seen touring extensively in 2009 in promotion of her 2008 studio project Fearless. The highly publicized album was certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA and became the first album to win the American Music Award (AMA), Academy of Country Music Award (ACM), Country Music Association Award (CMA), and Grammy Award for Album of The Year.
