It was a good finish to a very successful week for the Boston Bruins.  After a win at home on Friday night Bruins beat the Montreal Canadiens in Montreal last night to take 1st place in the Eastern Conference.  The Bruins won 3-2 in a shoot out victory.  The win came on the same night that the Canadiens welcomed back old goalie Patrick Roy to retire his number 33.  The win for the Bruins was their 9th in 10 games and gave them 32 points, good for first overall in the Eastern Conference.

Tim Thomas continues to play at the top of his game. He stopped 33 Montreal shots in the game, again holding his opponent to two goals or less.  The Bruins got goals from Milan Lucic (2nd period) and Matt Hunwick (3rd period) in regulation while Blake Wheeler got the lone shootout goal to steal the win for Boston.

The Bruins will be back on home ice this Friday to host the Islanders.  The Detroit Red Wings come in the following day, 11/29.  Boston Bruins tickets are available for all remaining games.
