Posted by Ace Staff on November 17th, 2010 in Sports

The New York Yankees recently announced plans to raise select ticket prices in 2011. The cost for top field level seats will be priced at $260, just $10 more in comparison to last season and $65 down from when the New Yankee Stadium opened in 2009. Outfield tickets that had been $100 will go up to $110 and $75 tickets will rise to $80. Yankees Chief Operating Officer Lonn Trust stated that 53 percent of the non-premium seats remain unchanged next season. The Yankees led all Major League teams in 2010 home attendance with 3,676,807 total fans. They also led the American League in home attendance over the past eight years.

New York is¬†back in the mix this off-season as potential suitors to some of the biggest names in free agency that include Cliff Lee, Carl Crawford and Jayson Werth. The front office will also keep their focus on re-signing veterans Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera. “A lot of people say they’re trying to win, but we demonstrate it,” said Yankees GM Brian Cashman. “Our best selling point is that everyone in the world knows we do everything we possibly can to reload every year and make every effort to get there, within reason.” 2011 New York Yankees tickets are now available!
