After winning their second team gold medal, members of the USA Women’s Gymnastic team will handspring into TD Garden this Sunday, November 11 at 3PM. The show is part of the 2012 Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastic Champions and is sure to be a night to remember.
The Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions will feature 2012 Olympic all-around champion Gabby Douglas as well as fellow 2012 Olympians: McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross, Aly Raisman, Jordyn Wieber, Jake Dalton, Sam Mikulak, John Orozco, Jonathan Horton and Danell Leyva. The tour will also include Nastia Liukin, the 2008 Olympic all-around champion, as well as members of the men’s and women’s 2011 World Champions and past Olympians, and past U.S. medalists in both men’s and women’s rhythmic and acrobatic gymnastics and tumbling and trampoline.
“The Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions will be unlike any previously produced,” Steve Penny, president of USA Gymnastics said. “We plan to celebrate the many wonderful things gymnastics means to young people, along with showcasing some of the biggest names in the sport. Our fans will truly enjoy connecting with the U.S. Olympic team following their accomplishments in London.”
The Tour will be led by Nastia Liukin, the spokesperson, and will be joined by local gymnasts at each tour stop. Kellogg U.S. Morning Foods President David Denholm said, “USA Gymnastics has produced countless memorable moments throughout the history of the Olympic games. Kellogg’s is excited to help bring the incredible athletes who create these moments to fans, even after the Games have ended, as part of our official partnership.”
