Quarterback Donovan McNabb threw for his 200th touchdown pass and surpassed the 30,000 yard mark as the Philadelphia Eagles went on to defeat the Washington Redskins 27-17 Monday night. The win for Philly was a definite step in the right direction after being stunned last week against the Oakland Raiders.
DeSean Jackson racked up two TD’s in the first half from a 67-yard run and a 57-yard reception that followed. “I was out there having fun, man, honestly,” said Jackson. “My ankle was kind of hurting. I really didn’t feel it, but it did kind of affect my dance a little bit. I could put it to perfection a little bit better than that.”
The Redskins can only look ahead now to their match up with the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday. “You have to take the bitter with the sweet,” said running back Rock Cartwright. “And right now we’re at a bitter moment.”
Philadelphia is just one game behind the New York Giants in the NFC East standings. The two teams will meet on Sunday, November 11th at 1:00 PM.
