The injury-filled Boston Bruins roster thanks to Steve Begin’s go-ahead goal 8:33 into the third period were able to defeat the Nashville Predators 3-2 last night at the TD Garden. “It’s awesome,” said Begin. “Most important thing is we won the game but it’s great to get my first goal out of the way. Now, I’m going to have to think about something else. Not that I was thinking about it every day but it’s a big relief.”

The now 4-4-0 BruinsĀ are missing Milan Lucic, Marc Savard, and Sawn Thornton due to injury. The organization has since called upon Daniel Paille (just acquired from Buffalo Sabres), rookie Brad Marchand and Trend Whitfield to suit up in black and gold for the first time. Boston will now try to stay on the winning side of things as they host the Flyers tonight in Philadelphia.
