Longtime alternative rock band Weezer will be performing at the Agganis Arena in Boston on Monday, December 7th. Best known for their singles “Buddy Holly,” “Island in the Sun” and “Beverly Hills,” the Los Angeles, CA natives are working towards releasing their seventh studio album “Raditude.” Their first single from the album “(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To” was released this summer and climbed all the way to the #2 spot on the U.S. Billboard Alternative Songs charts.
Since starting up in 1992 Weezer has sold over eight million albums in the U.S. Lead singer and guitarist Rivers Cuomo describes the new record as “just another fun project to do. They span a vast period of time from the very beginning of our career in the early ’90s right up to the present day.”
Other notable shows for Weezer include the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on Halloween (Saturday, October 31st) and the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, October 24th.
