Rollins Takes Game 4 for Philly

By on October 20, 2009 in

Jimmy Rollins knocked a frozen rope two-run double with two outs in the ninth inning for the Philadelphia Phillies to win over the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4 in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series.  The Phillies are now just one win away from returning to the World Series for a run at their second straight title.

The Dodgers will definitely look to make adjustments for Game 5 tomorrow at Citizens Bank Park. All-Star closer Jonathan Broxton is excited to move on from the previous contest after blowing the win in relief. “He put some good wood on it and it went to the wall,” said Broxton. “It was a good game, just let it get away in the ninth.”

Philadelphia has won 10 of their last 11 post-season home games (10 of 12 LCS games). They will now turn to Cole Hamels to produce a good start for them on the mound against Dodgers right-hander Vincente Padilla.

NLCS tickets are now available!
