Country sensation Garth Brooks has announced that he will be returning to the music scene since retiring in 2000 when he wished to spend more time with his family. Now the singer-songwriter is ready to make a comeback, recently signing a five year contract with the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas for concerts. The extended number of shows at the venue will kick off the weekend of December 11th.
“We’re going to take the retirement roof off over our head, and I already feel taller,” said Brooks. “As for touring, if I can’t eat it, sleep it, breathe it, then it ain’t me.”
Brooks most recent album “Scarecrow” was released in 2001. The 47 year old plans to start recording and releasing new material as soon as possible. Selling over 200 million total albums worldwide with 24 #1 singles from his previous nine studio albums, Garth Brooks is certainly one of the best country musicians of all time. Look for tickets to be available soon for Garth Brooks in 2010!
