Tom Brady directed six consecutive touchdown drives in two quarters, leading the New England Patriots to coast past the Buffalo Bills 52-28 yesterday at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills controlled the tempo throughout the first half, sporting a 21-7 lead four minutes into the third quarter before the Patriots started to roll.
“Down 21-7 and on the road, backs against the wall, and I thought we showed a lot of heart,” said Brady. “That’s what this team is made of. And we’re going to battle until the end, I know that.”
Both Brandon Bolden and Stevan Ridley rushed for over 100 yards and combined for three touchdowns. Wes Welker was targeted 11 times and caught nine passes for 129 yards. New England is now 17-1 in its past 18 meetings against Buffalo. The Patriots are next scheduled to battle Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos Sunday, October 7th at home.
