Monster Jam is Boston’s number one hip-hop radio station’s mini-music festival. It brings the best of the country’s music stars together to perform under one roof. This year Jam’n 94.5 will host the mash up of hip-hop and rap artists at Boston’s TD Garden on Thursday, November 1st.
In the past, performers such as Jay-Z, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Akon, Ne-Yo and Kanye West have appeared. This year the lineup is still being decided but will bring big names like Trey Songz, Big Sean, J. Cole, Meek Mill, and Ca$h Out.
Monster Jam is the biggest collaboration of hip-hop artists Boston will see this year. The lineup, though still being tweaked, will undoubtedly live up to its expectations. Trey Songz just went on tour this past February to raise awareness of his new album “Chapter V” and to promote his mix tape “Anticipation 2.” He will most likely perform his hit singles “Heart Attack” and “2 Reasons.”
Newcomers to the industry such as Meek Mill and Ca$h Out will be adding to the lineup of stars. Meek Mill started off pushing mix tapes until he caught the attention of Rick Ross through Twitter. He then signed to the MC’s Maybach Music Group and appeared on the label’s Self Made, Volume 1 compilation. Just this year he released his first proper studio album, “Dreams and Nightmares.” Ca$h Out came on to the scene this year with the party-rap hit and personal anthem “Cashin’ Out.” The viral video for this song featured LeBron James rapping along while celebrating the NBA championship victory of the Miami Heat.
This year’s Monster Jam is a mix of veterans and new talent. It will be hosted by the radio station’s very own Ramiro and Pebbles and will be held on Thursday, November 1st at the TD Garden. Get your tickets here.
