Swedish electric dance music DJ, Avicii, is bringing his contagious sounds to the masses as he becomes the first electronic artist to headline and all arena tour of North America. After just recently headlining appearances at ULTRA Music Festival and Coachella, Avicii has announced the dates for his fall North American tour- LE7ELS. Having started in Las Vegas on August 31, the tour consists of 26 stops and will end in Austin, Texas on October 12. Avicii’s biggest stops will hit Miami, Boston, New York, Atlanta and New Orleans as well as many universities and festivals.

Electric dance music (EDM) has been mainstream for a while but Avicii, also known as Tim Bergling, has certainly helped the genre take off. Avicci exclaims, “It’s been coming for a while, but this year it’s just skyrocketed. The EDM world is really on top of its game right now,” according to Rollingstone.com. Starting at the young age of 18, the DJ and record producer has continued to make a huge impact in the EDM music genre. Avicii hit number six in 2011 on the Top 100 DJs list of DJ Magazine, released his most famous single, “Levels,” in Octover 2011, and was nominated for a Grammy in 2011 for his single, “Sunshine.”

He’s had all this success but he’s still not thinking about winding down. The superstar will return to the studio later this year to finish up “about 10 or 12″ tracks which will be released by early 2013. According to Rollingstone.com, AVicii said, “There’s no lack of music. I have a lot of solo releases lined up. There’s going to be a lot of songs.”

We can’t wait. Avicii’s tour will have him playing an incredible set of all of his smash hits including “Bromance” and “Fade into Darkness,” plus chart-topping remixes of Daft Punk, Cold Play, and David Guetta. The North American Tour is sure to show just how dance music is taking hold in the United States.
