This Weekend In Concerts (September 7 -September 9)

What’s happening live music fans? Here we are, on the cusp of Fall, gracefully saying goodbye to Summer by squeezing in as many BBQ’s and outdoor activities as we can. And while we’re at it, how bout a great night out to see your favorite band? I say yes Boston! Let’s take a look at what this weekend has in store for us.

Friday September 7th:

Head to the Comcast Center to check out the laid back vibes of singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, as he plays songs off his latest album Love is a Four Letter Word.

Local hometown favorites, the J. Geils Band and playing not one but two (!) nights at the House of Blues. Catch the show and then catch the sites that Lansdowne St. has to offer, including our historic Fenway Park and maybe grab a drink or two.

Saturday September 8th:

You already know about the second J. Geils Band show, so head over and get classy at the Bank of America Pavilion with a night of Operatic music featuring Italian trio, Il Volo.

Opera not your things, well how bout a little Classic Rock to soothe your soul! ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd, will bring classic Blues and plenty of guitar solos to the Comcast Center. Get their early and enjoy some quality time in the parking lot and maybe even make a couple of friends.

Sunday September 9th:

It’s time to get a little soul and country in your bones with the Zac Brown Band at the Comcast Center. The jam band is touring in support of their latest release Uncaged, an album Billboard called “their deepest musical journey to date” with the band delving into a little island reggae, ballads and even R&B.

Well that wraps it up for the second weekend of September, check back Monday for our post of what’s going down in the Hub this week!
