The Boston Celtics have reached an agreement with Brandon Bass on Thursday, signing the seven-year power forward to a three year deal worth $20 million. The Celtics also secured Kevin Garnett for an additional three years last week. Boston’s starting five is back intact with the frontcourt of Bass and Garnett alongside Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley and Paul Pierce.
Bass averaged career-highs of 12.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game and started 39 games for Boston last season. He was acquired by the C’s in a sign-and-trade deal in exchange for Glen Davis.
The Celtics are still waiting to hear from veteran sharp shooter Ray Allen, who took a meeting with the NBA champion Miami Heat Thursday afternoon. It appears that the Celtics and Heat are the only two teams left battling for Allen’s services. More Boston Celtics offseason updates to come!
