Jack White’s latest project, alternative rock supergroup The Dead Weather, is making its return to the House of Blues this summer in July to promote their newest album, Sea of Cowards. The Dead Weather formed in 2009 after an impromptu jam session and is made up of Alison Mosshart of The Kills, Jack White of The White Stripes and The Racounteurs, Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age and Jack Lawrence of The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes.
On the May 10th release Sea of Cowards, Jack White makes a comeback to center stage. After hiding behind the drums and passing off the mic to Mosshart in their debut album, White provides lead vocals on single “Blue Blood Blues” and singing alongside Mosshart on several tracks.
Their debut album, Horehound, was released just 10 months earlier. After making the rounds at music festivals such as Bonnaroo and Glastonbury for the month of June, the band will begin the American leg of their tour in Washington D.C. on July 13th and wrap up in Brooklyn August 3rd. Texas rockers Harlem, who were recently signed by Matador and released their debut album in April, will be opening for The Dead Weather at the House of Blues Wednesday July 14th. Doors open at 7pm, Show begins at 8pm.
