U2 frontman Bono recently underwent emergency back surgery this morning, which could result in the groups 360-summer tour dates to be postponed or cancelled. Band manager Paul McGuiness spoke out in regards to their future plans, saying “it’s unfortunate that we’re inconveniencing fans, and we will make plans to reinstate there dates as soon as possible.”
The 50-year old was originally scheduled to join the rest of the band in Salt Lake City next week to start practicing for their nation-wide string of shows. The official U2 website released a statement that reads: “He was admitted to a specialist neurosurgery unit in a Munich hospital. Bono will spend the next few days there before returning home to recuperate.” Check back for more U2 tour updates.
