The House of Blues in Boston is scheduled to welcome in a number of musical acts through the upcoming summer and fall months. Indie rock band The National will take the stage for two nights starting Wednesday, June 2nd before Michael Franti and the Psychedelic Furs fill the weekend slots. The 2,500 capacity venue will then play host to Jordin Sparks the following week on June 13th. Sparks, the season 6 American Idol winner, is currently in the midst of her nation-wide tour in support of her second studio album Battlefield. It was just recently announced for her to join the Broadway show “In the Heights,” replacing Janet Dacal as Nina Rosario (the lead female role).
The month of July will showcase One Republic on Wednesday, July 7th. Members Ryan Tedder, Zach Filkins, Brent Kutzle, Drew Brown and Eddie Fisher are touring in support of their latest project Waking Up. Their lead single “All the Right Moves” ranked in the top 10 in Ireland, New Zealand and Switzerland soon after its release. July is also set to feature artists that include BB King, 50 Cent, Crowded House, and Modest Mouse.
The House of Blues will be sure to conclude their 2010 campaign on a high note.
