Bruins Ready and Hungry for Game 7

Posted by Ace Staff on May 13th, 2010 in Sports

Following a disappointing 2-1 Game 6 loss in Philadelphia, the Boston Bruins have no choice but to correct their recent play heading into Game 7 this Friday at the TD Garden. The Flyers have tied it up after falling in the first three contests. Philadelphia was in control last night from the start courtesy of Mike Richard’sĀ goal 6:58 into the first period. Danny Briere was able to capitalize on a power play for the only score of the second. Milan Lucic split the deficit for BostonĀ late in the third, but there simply wasn’t enough time to stage a full comeback from there.

The winner of the series rubber match will go on to face the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference Finals. Boston players and coaches seem collected and prepared for Friday’s matchup with their season on the line at home. “If you would have asked me before the series if it would go seven, I would have said yes,” said Bruins defenseman Dennis Wideman. “No one thought we would win three straight to start the series.” The B’s are 16-0 when leading a 7-Game series 3-0.
