Live Nation Inc will be selling the Opera House, the Orpheum, and the Paradise.  A group including Don Law and David Mugar are purchasing the venues for $22.5 million. While Live Nation will still continue to promote “non-theater shows” at the venues, the new owners may be able to book musicals, plays, and dance events at their choosing. Don Law,  chairman of Live Nation Boston, and David Mugar, one of the biggest supporters of the Fourth of July Pops; will bring their expertise to revitalize venues that Live Nation considers to be “non-core real estate holdings.”
