Despite some sloppy defense and questionable shots, the Boston Celtics bested the Chicago Bulls in an overtime nail-biter on Tuesday night. Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins made a solid case for their inclusion in this year’s big three as Ray Allen fouled out in the 4th quarter. Rondo scored 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists, as well as the tough defensive foul on Brad Miller than sealed up the game for the C’s. Perkins had 16 points, 19 rebounds, and seven blocked shots. “When you’ve got Ray fouled out of the game and you’re searching for bodies, it didn’t look good,” C’s coach Doc Rivers told the AP’s Jimmy Golen. “And we dug down and won the game.”

Paul Pierce had huge shots to both tie the game and send it into overtime, and to give the C’s the win. The Celtics travel to Chicago on Thursday to try to take the series on the road.
