Rapper, entrepreneur and producer Curtis Jackson, better known by stage name 50 Cent just recently announced plans to hit up venues in major U.S. cities this summer starting Friday, May 28th at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. He will conclude his run at the Atlantic City House of Blues June 25th after taking the stage at Boston’s very own House of Blues on Lansdowne street. Other cities expecting to play host to Jackson include Detroit, Chicago, New York City, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas and Atlanta.
50 Cent is working to support his upcoming studio album Black Magic. The mega-rapper has said for this particular project to be “more up-tempo, more dance” after finding inspiration while touring in Europe in 2009. Monica, Soulja Boy Tell’Em and Lloyd Banks will take part in select shows.
50 is best recognized through his 2003 and 2005 records Get Rich or Die Trying and The Massacre. Both albums went on to reach multi-platinum status, selling a combined twenty-six million copies worldwide.
