By on April 21, 2009 in ,

New rock super group Chickenfoot is set to play at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA Tuesday, May 26th at 7:00 pm.  They will be performing songs off their debut album, which will be released in the U.S. and Europe in June of 2009.

Originally put together in February 2008, Chickenfoot is comprised of vocalist Sammy Hagar (ex-Van Halen and Montrose), bassist Michael “Mikey” Anthony (also ex-Van Halen), guitarist Joe Satriani and drummer Chad Smith (of the Red Hot Chili Peppers).  Hagar claims the band “could rival Led Zeppelin.  When people hear the music, it’s Led Zeppelin.  I know that’s a bold statement, but it’s as good as that.”

Most people have taken his word for it knowing the legendary success of both Van Halen and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  When combining record sales the two bands together have sold an estimated 150 million albums worldwide.  Don’t miss the opportunity to see some of the top rock performers of our time! Chickenfoot tickets are now available.
