Posted by Ace Staff on April 6th, 2011 in Uncategorized

Rajon Rondo contributed 16 points and 13 assists as part of Boston’s decisive 99-82 win over the Philadelphia 76ers last night at the TD Garden. The Celtics now hold the No. 2 spot alongside the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference at 54-23 with the Chicago Bulls ahead of the pack by three games. With five games left to play on the regular season schedule, Boston will matchup once more against Chicago and Miami on the road this Thursday, April 7th and Sunday, April 10th.

“We want all these games,” said Kevin Garnett after a solid 14 point performance. “Playoffs is like the main course. This will definitely be an appetizer.” Paul Pierce netted 3-of-4 from downtown to lead the scoring campaign for the C’s with 18 points. Ray Allen followed up with 13 and Jermaine O’Neal chipped in with 9 during his 13 minutes on the floor.

The young 76ers lineup could serve as possible first round opponents in the upcoming post-season. They currently stand at 40-38 in the East behind the fifth place Atlanta Hawks. “When we play a team like this, I told our guys we want to keep growing every single game,” said Philadelphia head coach Doug Collins. “That’s why coming down this stretch these games give us a blueprint on what we have to do to beat these teams.” Purchase your Boston Celtics playoff tickets right here at AceTicket.com!
